Summer Vibes
We typically try to keep this blog informative, relevant and financial in nature. That being said, we’d like to share what we’ve been up to these past few months…when we haven’t been working, and hope you enjoy!
David and Araceli (and Charlie)
We went up to Mackinaw Island for the Fourth of July. It was our first visit to Northern Michigan. The island is about a 6-hour drive from Chicago and then a short ferry ride. No cars are allowed on the island. We had a great time exploring on bicycles.
Steve and Maria
We took a trip to Alaska. Highlights included kayaking, beautiful views and Dungeness crab.
Erin and Colton
We just got back from Grenada this July, visiting our fourth country and fourth state in the last three months! We had a wonderful time scuba diving for much of the trip and were fortunate enough to receive our Advanced Open Water Certification. Some diving highlights included a 100-foot wreck, sea turtles, an octopus, cuddle fish, nurse shark, parrot fish, and many more. We traveled with 20 members of Colton’s family to celebrate the life of his late Grandmother and spent wonderful quality time with people we had not seen in a while.

Biking between Seattle and Portland

I went up to the Chain O’Lakes for Memorial Day weekend, enjoyed time spent by a lake and ate lots of s’mores.
Joel
Played a lot of baseball. Loving America’s pastime.
Bobby
Pre-dawn strolls along Lake Michigan and weekend golf in Glenview. I played in a tournament up in Grand Haven, MI in June, and we recently visited friends down in Florida.
Trevor
Trevor, Hannah, Archer and Tatum have had an adventurous summer ahead of their move to Chicago in August. They are enjoying spending lots of time outdoors, including this hike to a secret fort in Park City, Utah.
